It all started when Will Thomas, part of the BSides Bournemouth team, reached out and encouraged me to submit a CFP for their very first event. He suggested I present ransomware.live, a project I’m deeply passionate about that tracks ransomware groups and operations in real time.
I decided to go for it and I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the three keynote speakers for the day. Standing on that stage, sharing insights about ransomware trends and threats, was already an incredible experience. But what happened next truly changed everything.
After my keynote, I had a great conversation with James Blake. We talked about the future of cybersecurity, my inspirations, and where I wanted to make an impact. Later, during the closing reception, James mentioned something that caught my attention: Cohesity was looking for someone in EMEA to take on the role of Field CISO.
Fast forward a few weeks, and I found myself in the hiring process.
Today, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially joined Cohesity as Field CISO for EMEA.
